Gazettle ("we", "our", or "the app") is a word puzzle game for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection and use.

Gazettle does NOT collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your location or geographic data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or usage data sent to external servers

3. Information Stored Locally

The app stores the following information only on your device (not on our servers):

• Game statistics (games played, win rates, streaks)
• Your preferences (sound settings, theme, accessibility options)
• Game progress (so you can resume incomplete games)
• Achievement data and badges earned
• Game history (your recent games)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

4. Network Requests

The app makes limited network requests to enhance your gameplay experience:

• Word Definitions: When you complete a game, we may fetch the definition of the target word from the Free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev). Only the word itself is sent - no personal information.

These services have their own privacy policies. No user identifiers or personal data is ever included in these requests.

5. Third-Party Services

Gazettle does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media platforms. We do not share any data with third parties.

The app uses the following external service for enhanced functionality:

• Free Dictionary API (word definitions)

This service does not receive any personal information from the app.

6. Children's Privacy

Gazettle does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and complies with COPPA requirements.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all app data by:

• Deleting the app from your device
• Using the "Reset Data" option in Settings (if available)

No data is retained on our servers because we do not have servers that store user data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
